About Us

The Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce & Industries or FJCCI was formerly known as Chotanagpur Chamber of Commerce & Industries. The parent organization was established on 15th September, 1960. Late Shri Raibahadur Harakchand Jain was the Founder President while Late Shri Atmaram Budhia became first Hon'ble Secretary of the Chamber. Initially the Chamber started its functioning from Budhia Building and later got shifted to Hindustan Building, Congress Bhawan and Bharat Shoe Co Building before finally coming to its existing address named as Chamber Bhawan.

Chamber Bhawan is situated at Chamber Path of Mahatma Gandhi Marg at the heart of capital Ranchi. The five-storey modern building dedicated exclusively to FJCCI could become a reality with generous contributions coming from its Hon'ble members and past presidents namely Late Shri P.L. Chopra, Late Shri Prem Kumar Poddar and senior member Shri Sita Ram Rungta.

FJCCI got its latest title with the formation of Jharkhand as a separate State in November 2000. With every passing day the Federation is growing in strength and continues to be the apex body representing traders, industrialists, entrepreneurs and professionals belonging to Jharkhand.

FJCCI has owed the responsibility to voice the issues and concerns coming from its members and affiliated bodies before the policy makers and authorities and get every possible solution done in their interest. Apart from this, the Federation works as a link between its stakeholders and Government Departments on policy formulation, runs awareness campaigns among its members about new rules and compliances coming in and bring larger regional and national players together.

FJCCI is also affiliated to FICCI, ASSOCHAM and CAIT which provides national perspective to the organization. Present membership of FJCCI is about 3004 which includes 81 trade and industries associations affiliated to it. Membership of the affiliated bodies together is more than 5000.

Services of the Federation have always been dully recognized by the Central and State Governments. FJCCI also gets representation into various advisory committees, constituent bodies and standing committees belonging to railways, forest, environment and pollution, civil aviation, BSNL, State Government Departments and district administrations.
