The Central Goods and Services Tax (GST Central) is one of the elements of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) system in India. India has implemented a comprehensive indirect tax known as GST on the sale of goods and services. With the intention of removing various indirect taxes levied by the federal and state governments, streamlining the taxing procedure, and fostering a single national market, it was implemented on July 1, 2017.The portion of GST that is levied by the federal government on the supply of goods and services inside a state is known as the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST). The central government receives the revenue from CGST, which is then used to pay for different central social programmes, infrastructure improvement, and other central expenses.
